The RHS Urban Gardening Show - Microgreen & Mushroom ‘Growtainer’

Manchester
Project duration: 4 day show

The Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) commissioned me to do an installation to mimic the inside of my shipping container ‘growtainers’, to show people how to grow micro greens and mushrooms within an urban environment. The content cube that I was demonstrating was called ‘garage gardening’.

I really enjoyed talking and showcasing my work around making growing more accessible to those living in cities and urban areas. The point of this was to inspire people to grow food, no matter their circumstances, as not everyone is lucky to have a garden or outdoor space. I was lucky to receive a lot of praise and write-ups from punters and the RHS media team.

This was a really exciting opportunity that will definitely lead to working more with RHS in the future. It feels great to have a stamp of approval from such a large and established organisation.
